David Martin - President/Managing Director

With over 25 years experience in the life insurance industry as an agent, district agency supervisor, PPGA recruiter, independent agency owner, distribution head, channel leader and Senior VP, Marketing – David Martin has been a professional recruiter since 1980.

Throughout his distinguished career in insurance, David worked integrally with other life industry disciplines including product design/manufacture, marketing services (including sales support, advanced markets, training and web technology), administration, legal department and systems – and those areas are also part of the firm’s focus and attention. Additionally, as the lines have continued to blur among the traditionally segmented financial services industry, the firm’s expertise has expanded to meet the needs of this “expanded universe” on both a permanent placement and a contract staffing basis.

Distinguishing itself from other firms in the professional placement and staffing business, Martin says: “AlpineCRS engages a proven, highly successful, personalized and relationship-based process with each assignment. “Additionally” he stated: “by thinking creatively and ‘outside the dots’ we bring an entirely new dimension to our business – for our clients and candidates.”

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and did advanced work at both the LSU Graduate School of Education and Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans.

Richard Carey - Account Executive

Rick is most effective at establishing rapport with candidates and clients in order to best serve the ever changing needs of candidates and clients alike. He enjoys the challenge of continually locating and matching top candidates with top employers.

His career includes experience in sales and marketing as well as recruiting in various industries including healthcare, telecommunications and oil & gas.

Rick attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins and studied Speech Communications.

Married and the father of two, Rick is very active in youth sports in and around his community.

Rene Lorio - Senior Account Executive

AlpineCRS recruited Rene' to draw upon his energy and drive, combined with his more than twenty-nine years of management and executive experience in financial services, to help build our mutual success. His career includes sales, management and executive assignments in retail securities, life and health insurance and the banking segments of financial services.

A graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Rene is an L.L.I.F. (Life Leadership Institute Fellow, granted by LIMRA), a graduate of the Securities Industry Association Executive Development Program (granted through The Wharton School) and the LOMA Executive Development Program.

The father of three adult children, Rene' is active in his church and community.

Penny Powers – Alliance Partner, Senior Account Executive

Penny and her firm (PowerSource, located in Atlanta) are alliance partners with AlpineCRS. Penny has over 20 years of experience in Executive Search for a variety of industries and disciplines. Her broad range of experience has required her to develop an in-depth understanding of healthcare, finance, technology, architecture/design and sales/sales management.

Penny maintains a high degree of involvement and communication at each step of the search process. With the distinct ability to support clients and candidates as they navigate past roadblocks and unanticipated challenges, she has established an impressive record of successes for timely and positive outcomes.

Rene Kare - Internet Researcher

Rene "RV" Kare joined the virtual staff of AlpineCRS as an Internet Researcher in January of 2008. RV has more than 5 years' extensive experience in internet research - in health care, legal, finance and IT - and serves in a critical capacity at the foundation of our business. He is adept at collecting the necessary data to locate those most placeable candidates and to assist in the process of matching them with our highly valued clients.

Fluent in 3 languages, with a BS in Community Development and an MA in Education Technology (both from the University of the Philippines), RV's professional background includes work with Habitat for Humanity, The University of Asia and the Pacific,Ventis Maritime and San Beda College where he was an instructor in computer science. We are fortunate to have such a strong member of the team in this area.
